They had an import system in as in that era, you could have a long lead time from region to region. In real-time, seeing Sonic Adventure in screenshot form in magazines was huge - but the thing that sold me on the Dreamcast was seeing the game in motion at my local EB Games. The Dreamcast as a showcase for вЂњnext generationвЂќ hardware was great because it was clearly doing things that the PlayStation and N64 couldnвЂ™t do on their best day - and offered up higher resolution textures and online functionality that wouldnвЂ™t be matched for years.

One thing's for sure: this definitely isn't the new 3D platformer on its way from former Sonic ManiaВ developers Evening Star. We don't know much about this new game, but odds are it's a 3D platformer in the tradition of major flagship entries like Sonic ForcesВ and Sonic Lost World. The domain registration, coupled with Sega trademarking Sonic FrontiersВ last month, points strongly to this being the name of the next tentpole SonicВ game.
